Why are we doing this ?

In New Zealand most places receive over 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, especially during summer months, daylight can last up until 9.30pm. The Ultraviolet Radiation (UVR) levels are particularly high from September to April. It is important for us to know how to protect ourselves in the sun.

Over exposure to solar UVR will accelerate premature skin aging, and sunburn. It is the major cause of skin cancers. However the normal clothing can't provide sufficient protection from UV, and sunscreen is not that convenient to use as we always need to reapply from time to time. The simplest way to stay safe in the sun is to put the UV Protective Clothing on.
